Ramosadi Primary School50 years ... the legacy lives on... 10th February 2009, Ennerdale, SOUTH AFRICA
A simple need turned into a meaningful opportunity when Ramosadi Primar's principal, Mr Sydney Teme, discussed a collaborative opportunity with deputy principal of Moses Maren Technical Senior Secondary School (MMT) in Gauteng, Mr Eddie van Vught.
When Mr Teme explained his school's need for shelving at a Learning Academy Worldwide workshop in Ennerdale, South Africa, he stimulated the interest of the Mechanical Technology teacher at MMT.
The result of their discussion was that 22 learners from MMT would travel the 400km journey to Ramosadi Primary School and construct the shelves as a Practical Assessment Task (PAT) in their Mechanical Technology programme.
"Of course, we are happy that our needs at the school is being met and I think it is ingenious that Mr van Vught is structuring the solution is such a creative way," said a delighted Mr Teme.
The project is planned for end of March 2009.

Before learners started the new academic year on Wednesday 14th January, Principal, Sydney Teme rallied faithful men and women from Ramosadi to clear the cobwebs and dust and dirt that settled in during the long summer holidays.
Sweeping beauties and toiling titans got their hands dirty as the community responded to the call of duty, cleaning and plastering walls, sweeping on the premises, replacing toilet bowls, clearing weeds and preparing the school garden, washing and disinfecting classroom walls and floors, vacuuming and doing it all with a big smile.
Learners were greeted with a clean school, all ready to help give them a new and fresh start.
We welcome your input and we publish here a note from a friend of our school, our dream. Write to the Principal at principal@ramosadiprimary.org
